The town of Bunyip is situated 77km's south-east of Melbourne along the Gippsland railway line. The town is located 2km's off the Princes Highway and is half way between Pakenham and Warragul.
Much of the town is set on a gentle rolling hill, views from Main street look out onto the Swamp with green pastures and nature shrub lands, Westernport Bay can even be seen on a fine day. The shopping area remains relatively untouched and reflects a by-gone era.
